Welcome to the field notes section of my website. Here you will find a collection of my drawings made on trail. beginning in chronological order from the 100 mile wilderness all the way through Georgia. For the most part i've opted to omit the text portion of my journals as they were never intended to be made public. Some of my trail poetry may make its way to the musings section.

Over the course of my six month field study you will see a distinctive dot and line style develop. The vast majority of these drawings were directly from "open air" reference. some were drawn with cold non-cooperative hands or under time/lighting constraints. There are also a small number of creative pieces drawn from imagination rather than reference. In some instances more complicated drawings were begun in the field before being completed during a town day.
